The project runs for 42 months, from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2029. Total budget: EUR 5,278,235.10. EU contribution: EUR 3,166,941.06 (60% of eligible costs). Call: LIFE-2025-SAP-CLIMA.

LIFE AGHETA is a project co-funded by the European Union under the LIFE Programme and coordinated by Italimpianti S.r.l. It will demonstrate, at industrial scale and under real operating conditions, the AGHETA CCTU technology (Carbon Capture, Transformation and Utilization): a system that captures CO₂ from process flue gases, simultaneously abates nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx) and particulate matter, and transforms emissions into useful by-products, sodium bicarbonate and calcium chloride, that can be reused in production processes.
